Hi Dave, most clubs welcome visitors, and will allow members of the public to look through their scopes if they don't have any equipment. You will usually find that the participants are usually very friendly and welcoming.

all are wecome to meets , we meet up at +51° 47' 25.57", -3° 4' 10.74" its a bit of a run for you in north bristol but the sky is well worth the trip , keep an eye in this section for the date of next meet and come along

Hi Dave,

As Lenny said, all are welcome. The sessions are informal, with novices as well as seasoned amateurs participating; and with a variety of scopes. To give you an idea, the Saturday observing session had about a dozen people show up with their equipment, which I think was a good turnout. If you get a chance, come to one of the meets, you will find them to be enjoyable and friendly, with everyone having a good time.
