Not really sure why I am posting this as it is soooo bad!

Seeing was terrible - like looking through boiling water and there was high thin cloud, but it has been so long since I have been able to get out and do some imaging.

I seem to be having a real problem focusing at the moment. I think the first thing to do the next time I'm out is a star test.

Anyway, here it is:

About 1230 frames from a capture of 1556 in Sharpcap. Stacked in Registax 6 and tweeked in Photoshop 7.

Equipment: C8 XLT, CG5-GT, Revelation Astro 2.5x barlow with Philips SPC900NC (unmodified).

Not that bad to be fair. Although it looks remarkably similar to Jupiter rather than Saturn......

This happened to me once...the seeing was so awful that my mars came out looking like Venus...

I think my fingers and toes had actually reached absolute zero...well maybe not quite! :smiley:

I think it was looking at other posts from people who HAD imaged Saturn and getting the name stuck in my brain. :icon_scratch: Brain...what's that? :icon_rabbit:

Thank you Simon! I feel vindicated now about my original title.

That was exactly what I saw through my scope and I don't know why the rings didn't show on my picture!!!!! :icon_jokercolor: :icon_clown:
