Northern Ireland Widefields, part II

Hi guys,

Here's a few more from this years visit to Northern Ireland.

No 1 the Cygnus widefield, hopefully processed a little better than the original

No 2 Andromeda Widefield

No 3 (my pick of the bunch) Deneb and the N.A.Nebula

They're lovely widefields. I particularly like the M31. Even seems to be faint dust lanes in there. Very nice.

Thanks for three great wide field images Alan. I get great satisfaction from what I like to refer to as proper astro pictures. It is a personal thing, but I do really enjoy this type of image.

Hope you enjoyed your Ireland break too. Never been to Ireland, but I would like to visit her one day.

Nice pics Alan. I like M31 in widefield - nice to see it in context as it were.

Thanks for the comments guys, glad you enjoyed them, yes Trev I was in the North about 12 miles outside of Cookstown in County Tyrone almost in the foothills of the Sperrins, a really beautiful place.

Great images Alan, reminds me why I got interested in astronomy, are you from there or is your wife?

From Enniskillen myself, lived in Omagh as a teenager, fantastic skies once you get out of the towns.

Seeing the milky way when on holiday in Donegal, just over a year ago, was one of the things that spurred me to take up this hobby. If you look at the dark sky maps, that part of the world is dark. Can't wait to go back.
