Sunday, 5am

I got up at 5am to get myself some shots of Mercury, Venus and Saturn, to find that i needed to collimate the scope, so once i was finally ready to shoot the sun was rapidly rising so i turned my scope to the moon

this is 2 frames, taken with my cpc800 and EOS 300d

Shame about Mercury, as i only need Mercury and Neptune (and pluto for the old school) to complete my solar system images but im sure there not going anywhere

my plan is totry and track it with my dslr over a week and show its movement across the sky . wish me luck

Very nice pic. The darker sections almost look as tho they have been "eaten away" or are themselves a huge crater on the moons surface, or do I need some kind of glasses as my eyes appear to move independently of each other now.
