Hi Penny and welcome to the lounge.

I use a pair of 10x50s, but sometimes I wish I had something a little lighter (not so much wobble after I hld them for any length of time) or with the capability to fix to a tripod or pole. Just something to bear in mind when looking - as Glowjet said, nothing beats actually trying out a pair, and get a feel for the grip, the weight as well as the views. Good luck!
