start of the rose

Last night was a clear night so decided to fire up the gear

Here we have 10 x 30 min exposures in 5NM HA

I use CCDAutopilot to run the system so i can sleep it uses the Sky X for scope control Focusmax for focusing Takometer for camera rotation the Flip flat for flats at the end of the run Ccdsoft for camera control and guiding

Camera is the Fli PL16803 and for guiding i use the Sbig STi

Mount is the Paramount MX

Scope used is the Tak 106

Beautiful & inspiring! It looks like it's 3D. I don't know anything about the camera you used. How much did you do crop the image by, if at all?

without colour some images just show amazing contrast and depth. this is one of these .
