Hi Steve and welcome to SGL, I think you may have a problem obtaining the book from a book shop, this is a specialised subject, copies are available through FLO see top of page or direct from the Author, Steve Richards, who is a member of this forum. As you are an experienced photographer there are other ways of photographing the night sky including DSO with an inexpensive device called a Barn Door www.davetrott.com/DoubleArmBarnDoor.html If you have some DIY skills you could use this as well as your scope and have the best of both worlds. Just thought I would mention it to give you something else to consider from the photographic side. The use of an Alt/Az mount is not ideally suited to AP as it does not have correct sidereal tracking, but that does not mean to say that you cannot use it to take some short exposure images of bright objects. I am sure once you have obtain a copy of the book, this will be made a lot clearer. Enjoy your Astronomy :)

John.
