I'm really excited! The weather forecast here is for a clear night on Saturday. I'm off to meet someone from this forum who has made the kind offer to show me how to use my telescope as to date I have only found

Saturn and the moon! We have been trying to meet up Since July but the weather has been against us. I'm

keeping everything crossed that the forecast is right for a change!

That's very kind of them. Let's hope the weather meets expectations and you get to see some of the objects the scope is capable of showing you. There's a lot of value in having someone "show you the ropes", I think. I'm entirely self-taught and you can spend ages wondering if you've got things right or not when someone more experienced can just tell you straight away or point out where you're going wrong.

Yes its looking clear for me again from friday night/saturday morning - but some wind. Wind not good for an 8" reflector.
