Looks quite interesting and local, only £12 per ticket, i intend to go, so though id share

Hmmm, thanks for the heads up but the talks don't seem to be something I can get excited about. Also due to lack of funds I'd have an itchy credit card and I don't need the grief if I spend spend spend when I am there.

I agree with Simms. It looks a wonderfully organised event, and the speakers are great. However, the talks are not something I could get interested in sufficiently enough to sit still for that long.

Ahoy hoy. Name's John, from around the Chelmsford area. Not got anywhere past my back garden yet - with a convertible and 12 inch scope and mount, not practical lol! However, hoping to get out and about with my cassegrain in the future and meet up with other observers!

If it's a convertible you can stand the scope on its end ... Just don't drive under any low bridges !

Even if the talks don't appeal, it's still worth going for the trade stands, members display stands, general astro chat etc. There should also be some solar observing if it's clear

I was quite tempted by the 20" meade for £1200... Bargain!!!! if only my credit card wasnt maxed!
