LDN 673 - (very) dark nebula in Aquila

Hello,

This constellation is normally skipped by imagers. Cygnus or Scorpios with lot of emission nebula are preferred. But if you are bored of red Ha objects here is definitely something different.

Dark as darkness this nebula is to be found in Aquila rift - mass of dark clouds in summer Milky Way.

Thanks for looking!

Lovely image Mark - as you mention, it's nice to see some images that are off the well trodden tracks, and you've processed the dark reflection nebulosity really well. Reminds me a little of the Iris nebula, but looks more demanding....

Thanks guys!

Your comments are much appreciated.

It's actually a great deal easier to process it. It's dark. You can't go wrong with colour;)

You just should not use curves too much to preserve contrast. There are more to come. I really like this type of objects. If only these clouds disappear.
