M57 first light with the 150p

Hi,

The seeing was great late Friday night so I thought I'd do a bit of testing with my new 150p. I don't have a Bahtinov mask for this scope yet so the focus is a bit off therefore I've kept the image quite wide field.

It consists of 40 x 45 seconds with flats, darks, and bias. I used my modded 350D, stacked in DSS and levels and curves in Paint Shop Pro x3.

I've got a feeling I'm going to really like this little Newt once I've made up a Y-mask:)

That 150p is going to give you a lot of fun nice first image with it as well try the Iris nebula if you can get a dark sky

Lovely M57 there I really love this planetary nebula too. So small a target would love to give it a go at longer FL - need decent mount though!

Thanks for all the comments guys, I'm looking forward to many nights under the stars with the 150p, both imaging and visual, M57 looked fab with it, better than I thought with its little 6" aperture:) I would also like a longer focal length scope, 1500mm would compliment my 388mm and 750mm nicely I recken:)
