Pleiades occultation

Here are some shots from the lunar occultation of the Pleiades that occurred on the night of 6/7 August 2007...

Well done Mr Lawrence!

I was looking forward to this one but the clouds had other ideas. Great images as usual. Thinking about it these must have been really difficult to take without over/underexposing each element.

Very nice and gorgeous aesthetic glow to them. The two middle one's remind me of an over symmetrical corona during an eclipse.

Those must have been really difficult to get Pete - my eyes were having problems because of brightness difficulties! It was great to see though

The only difference is the admiration and awe masks the jealousy.

Lovely Pete. I am glad someone caught this view! Thank you. I was very happy I found my binoculars lying around in the kitchen (?!!?) as i got back from work. I was just about to miss this :insects1: It was a tricky stuff viewing it, not mentioning photographing it!! Very well done!
