One more target from my Spring Kielder star party haul.

As before taken with my Orion Optics AG8 astrograph, working at F3.8, mounted on an EQ6 Pro, Auto-guided using PHD via a SX off axis guider and my Atik 16IC guide camera. The main imaging camera is a monochrome Artemis 4021, shooting through Astronomic 2 inch filters in my SX 2 inch filter wheel.

M63 - the sunflower galaxy - LRGB - 60mins in 6x10 mins exposures in L and 3x10 mins exposures in RGB each channel - binned 2x2

Alslo shown as a crop to Galaxy

Personally - this is ny favourite of the starparty haul...

all these can be found on my flickr page for the star party at http://www.flickr.com/photos/robbieince/sets/72157629580081938/detail/

Great, and just 1.5 hours. The AG8 is very good, great colour too Did you have to repair the stars in post processing? Seething with jealousy though, more so when you release part 4 I'm certain of it :hello2:

Hi everyone - many thanks

Ian - not really - although I did do a tad of star rounding in Ps, and a tiny amount of star bloat reduction.

Part 4 out soon - more of an experiment though......
