First try at Mars with 180pro Mak

Hi everyone,

this is my first try during first light with my new SW 180 pro Mak.

I am not too unhappy but would love any feedback or pointers as I can't decide whether or not the focus was a little off.

Used a 3x Meade barlow and a Philips webcam. This is about 1000 frames stacked in Registax 6.

Did you do an RGB align? Looks like there might be a bit of a blue fringe towards the top, though it could just be "edge on" cloud. It's certainly an excellent first attempt. f/45 is a monster focal ratio to be imaging at :)

Good first light, blueing around Mars is something ive got a lot of, one trick if the blueing isnt a rgb align problem is to do a rgb split. lower the blue channel a bit with blacks on image analyzer hey presto most of it goes. Mainly becuse you shrunk the offending glow
