Moon, Venus & Saturn at Sunset (17 Jul 07)

Here's a quick snap of the Cresent moon, Venus and Saturn. Saturn is faint near the middle, low - about 1/3 way up & close to cloud area. Taken with the Canon XT and lens set @approx. 50mm wide.

Has it shocked anyone else just how quick Venus has dropped?

I'm sure it was only a week ago that I was looking out at gone 10 and venus was still there shining away!

I looked out last night and found the moon, I then sat thinking to myself that I must have misread the thread that said about the conjunction being tonight (last night) as venus could not be below the moon - surely!!!?

But it was and I'm shocked!
