Selected another star and it's guiding again It is slightly out of focus.

Sometimes having the target star slightly out of focus works better than having it pin-point sharp

Ah just what I was looking for, its payday monday and I think the QHY5v is on my shopping list this month

I also find that PHD guides easier if you slightly defocus the guide camera. Guess it give it a bigger blob to grab onto

Was thinking this myself as you are not imaging the guide stars surely this makes sense?

Seems I have all this to come, hope you wont mind me pestering you Gina as I think it will be good to get an opinion from someone else starting out on autoguiding too
