Stevie816
The seeing was OK and I'd been tracking Mars for ages, It was OK but mostly a washed out sphere. I was comfortable so I just sat there watching when suddenly it all cleared and I saw soooo much detail a really sharp view with tons of detail, I got really excited, then it was gone back to a vague washed out scene. My top tip, Patience. (if that's how you spell it. And patience is cheaper than a new scope)Steve

LukeSkywatcher
It takes a long time to discover this "top tip" about Mars but when you do discover it.............the rewards are great. Patience, patience, patience with Mars. Its a fickle little planet who really does need the perfect conditions to be appreciated.
gooseholla
Yup. I noticed that after getting a stool and motors for a mount and scope. Saw so much more!
LukeSkywatcher
I have no choice but to observe from a seated position. It really does take away much of the problems and aches and pains.
