Keen optics fan, but always limited to this planet; birds, animals and so on. Just got a TA900-114EQ from Jessops to dip my toe into space and intend to learn a lot more of what is out there. Given the weather forecasts for the next few days I will be learning to use the telescope in daylight, which is no bad thing. 'Plan A' is to move to Northumberland in a couple of years on retirement and I will have far more time to give to this fascinating hobby. Who knows, I may even invest in a more professional scope, but the one stood staring at me on its tripod will do for now.
