The Shadow of Venus - part 2

Here's an update of a project I did back in November 2005, revealing the shadow that Venus can cast...

Job done Pete. Definitely a moving shadow on the wall.

I bet your family love you when you cordon off the stairs and make them have all the lights off all evening.

Shame about the Clanger though, with your contacts I would have thought you could have got a real live one, or at least an Iron Chicken.

I remember the earlier shadow attempt but don't remember any arguments over it, it looked fairly clear cut to me. Defined shadows only come from point sources, definitely not from a skyglow type effect.

I've just contacted the chap from the NASA Ames research facility that questioned the cause of the shadow. Hopefully he'll like the Clanger

Excellent study, Pete. I've never doubted Venus casting a shadow, as I've seen it myself in realtime! Capturing it from the suburbs is extraordinary though. Nice!
