A Portuguese pure blood horse

Hi all,

Last Saturday, under a murky heavy dewd sky, i tried to get a shot of Witch head nebula in Orion, but as the transparenct was soo poor, I ended up aiming at IC 434 / B33 area, as this is a fairly bright object it come out ok, even with bad conditions

Setup: Altair Astro 200 mm f/4 newtonian, Modded Canon 350D, Baader MPCC, EQ6 autoguided with a 50 mm finder and DMK21, GPUSB Shoestring interface, stack of 12x7 min. @ 400 ISO

Incredible image for a DSLR. How do you get it so smooth with only 12 subs??? I guess f/4 allows you to drop an ISO step and still grab as much light?

RikMcRae, yep, right on, with a good 200 mm aperture and fast f/ ratio it's possible to use low ISO and get a smooth final image even with few subs
