M13 - 14-05-07 " Bit More Effort This Time"+ Extra Big Image Just Added

Recommended Posts

Took 20 images at 2mins exp at 800 iso. Took dark frames , bias frames etc.

Using Canon 350D.

Fairly happy with the result. ( converted to jpeg for easy posting)

Only small amount of Photoshop processing.

But:-

1. Lack of star colours - need more frames?

2. Settings in Deep Sky Stacker - still not sure if these are correct - have ordered different software.

Excellent image, focus, tracking all spot on. Companion galaxy looks nice too.

Were the colours in the original pre-stacked images? I've always found that the orange stars of M13 tend to get processed out while trying to enhance the image.

Great image though

Good question. Answer - very little colour. The M13 stars looked slightly blue and a couple of the other brighter stars , away from M13 , looked yellow. Its things like the white balance settings - use camera or use auto - that have me confused at the moment.

PS Cars in the garage being repaired so I thought I may as well mess around this for a while :)

Very nice :)

what's the little fuzzy that you have caught?

I looked it up in guide 8 but could not find anything at that spot.

Anybody know?

John
