Milky Way with an EQ1

Sorry I've not been around for a while, been having a mad time of it... Anyway, whilst on hols, I took my EQ1 and had a bash at some wide field.

Canon 450d, EFS 18-55 IS (turned off), on an EQ1.

11x2 minutes (hampered by the severe dew) the next sub showed no stars at all.

no flats (no way to take them)

Milky Way through Cygnus

Still it was good to actually get out on a clear night and capture something. Got some faint red (Ha) patches coming through, not bad for an unmodded camera on such short subs.

Excellent, John, a very effective image. 2 minute subs is a great achievement even allowing for the short focal length.

Vega the camera isn't modded, it's used for too much daylight stuff, and I don't want to have to mess about with custom WB all the time.
