Good man Gaz.

OK, I'll start the bidding on a date:

3rd December - 1.4 day new moon, so good for DSO's, and Mars will still be a good sight and Saturn will be visible as well.

My BIL has a 4 or 6 man one that I can borrow, with bedrooms, en-suite and a sports annexe!!!

OK, lets see what date(s) everyone else favours.

Dates i need a couple of weeks notice aswell so pretty easy for me too.

Tent wise i dont have one since i had an experiment on blackpool beach(used it as a kite worked well until it landed in the sea and the rope/string snapped :))

I all i would love 2 go 2 a star party with u guys.BUT i`m only 15 and i ain`t done my driving test yet and i can`t drink booze,and my equipment ain`t that good so i won`t b going soz.I would go if i was in my 20s :),But untill then it`s a no.Great idea though hope u guys who r going enjoy yourselfs.

Can u make it an annular sorter thing then i will go when i`m (like i said)in my 20s.Look forward 2 going,and seeing u guys in the near future if we r still alive,and r going on a star party.

Take all this talk of drinking with a pinch of salt Moonhunter; its what us astronomers say to each other to reassure ourselves that we are not nerds.  (Just don't tell the others that I said that! :))

It's what you do with your equipment, not how big / expensive it is.

(This goes for lots of other areas of life as well....)

And, yes, if it's a success, I see no reason why we could not make this an annual event. Perhaps in a year, your parents may consent, in which case I'm fairly sure we could arrange transport for you.
