anyone any experiance of cape newise scopes- in my looking for second scope came across their website- and eq mount a 200mm on a heq5 goto for imaging is yet another option.

Always liked the look of these. Compact 8" Newtonian in lightweight carbon fibre tube....sounds really nice. They had some serious teething problems at the start (just search Google for a review) but I think they are ironed out now.

I've wondered that myself Ian. I haven't heard of anyone using them. Have just done a quick google search and this confirms this. One M27. I would have thought they are ok and should provide a good flat field without vignetting. Am guessing they would be tricky to use with focal reducers. Might be a good idea to have a word with Green Witch about them

This is one review I found but as you say, I don't know of many people who have used them. I think they had a stand at Astrofest, but I never got round to visiting it as far as I can remember.
