Sunspot timelapse animation

Taken on the 21st of August with a PST and DMK41 with 2.5x Powermate. The imaging system was mounted on a EQ3 Synscan Pro mount which was guided by DSSR software over 90 minutes.

368 15 second videos processed in Avistack2 and then animated in Premiere Pro at 24fps. I've deliberately not stabilised the final video so you can see the accuracy of the tracking software.

I even caught some activity :)

That is extraordinary to see the spot change like that, perfect music, Youtube music is usually terrible. That was a real piece of science for sure and such hard work to process all those video.

Fantastic animation!

Can you please talk a little about that DSSR software, what is it exactly?

Thanks in advance,

DSSR - Dave's Solar System Recorder works with IC cameras like the DMK41 and allows you to guide an Ascom compliant mount using a feature in the video feed like a sun spot or prominence or even lunar feature. More info is available here The Window Sill Observatory
