johnh
These are outstanding efforts, love the detail in M64 and M42+Running Man blue nebula is wonderfully caught. M101 is a bit noisy compared with the others which are smooth, how did you blend in the Ha?John.
psemil
Thanks...The M101 is noisier because it were 2 very hot nights when I imaged it with more than 15 degrees Celsius. The other images were made in cold nights.

ollypenrice
They are very good images indeed. M42 is a hard object and you have done a great job on it. There is a plug in for removing green here. (Hasta La Vista Green)Deep Sky Colors - Astrophotography by Rogelio Bernal AndreoI find it very useful, or rather I use a similar thing in Pixinsight. I thnk it would help your M42 to become even better.Olly

Beyond_Vision
Welcome to SGL Psemil and what a wonderful set of images in such a short amount of time. I especially like the M42 image with good detail all the way to the core.RegardsKevin
psemil
Thanks again for appreciation Kevin.Olly I did a noise reduction in Pixinsight (acdnr) but I will try this plug-in in photoshop to see if I can make M42 image even better.Andrewsean1985 The hard part for me was to process them the right way, and resist at -15 degrees celsius near the scope for many nights. Ah, if you have PI just try the green remover called SCNR. The default setting is for green. I find it brilliant.Olly

Peter Reader
Interesting diffraction spikes around the stars in the M101 picture. Why is this?Great images, very impressed!
fatwoul
18 months? I think I might just give up now.As others have said, these are incredible images, made more incredible by the fact that they were (mostly) shot with a DSLR.
psemil
The diffraction spikes around M101, i believe, are mostly made by the holders of the primary mirror and because the image stretching is more aggressive. Revealing the spiral of M101 is harder due to lower surface brightness of the galaxy. The stretching and the higher ambient temperature the nights it was imaged are the reason for higher noise in my M101 picture.
