So last night the weather gods really liked me, half my sky was cloudy, half was not and it stayed like that until 3am! I only lost 2 subs at the end :)

This is the crescent nebula NGC 6888

Ha 13x900s

OIII 11x900s

Flats and Bias applied

Atik 383l+ with 1.25" filters

Need more OIII really but im really pleased with this so far

Also did a crop of the crescent, trying to get the OIII to show through

I reckon ill go for another run of OIII before moving on to some SII

Gotta love the summer sky :icon_eek:

I don't, 4 months of no proper astro dark, leaving very little time to get those amazing summer targets in August

Sometimes I envy you guys down south :)

That's a great image, absolutely terrific. 383L+ with 1.25" filters? I thought you had to use 2" filters with the 383L+?

Thats what they would have you think! No... thats what I thought originally as well but they are working fine for me with flats so I wont be going to 2" filters anytime soon... :)

Nicely done! Go for that OIII, but try throwing in couple of longer subs (I threw in an hours worth of 20min subs in OIII for this).

Yeh will go for a little longer then, with the patchy cloud around though I find it better to go slightly shorter subs as more are useable

Stonking Cracker mate... What scope did you use Shaun.

Thanks Nadeem, it was the Zenithstar 70 + flattener

Thanks for all your comments :)

Very nice shaunster. With only HA and OIII how did you get the star colours?

Did you overlay it with some RGB captures?

Hi, no its only Ha and OIII used

Blended R= Ha G=OIII B=OIII + Ha(set to 30% opacity blend mode lighten)

If I used RGB filters I am limited to shorter exposures due to LP
