Venus project so far 2 May 2011

I have just added today's Venus to my ongoing Venus project which was started last July.

The first image is to the left (East) of the Sun and the last is behind to the West.

Taken with a DMK21 camera through a Vixen FL102S scope with a 2 x Barlow. Stacked in Registax5 and tweaked in Photoshop. All images were taken in daylight and with a red filter.

It looks as if I should be able to do one more before it gets too close to the Sun and then a few more when it is again to the West of the Sun.

Thanks. Yes I am pleased especially as my original intension was to just get the left hand side. I must admit that it is now not so exciting imaging a dot of decreasing size. It was much more satisfying when Venus was a crescent. It is now just a matter of finishing the job.
