  1. hi Isabelle, yeah thats what it looks like over here in uk was out last night and i got the same view, bit disappointed, not very clear at all Saturn, very yellow like your picture, mind you it was coming up in the east low.
  2. hi, just peeked at Saturn the full moon has blanched it out if thats the right word,it looked really yellow, not sharp at all could see rings but no sharpness on body of planet, even on full power. waited for it to come up above houses. ah well ile, have to wait till moon buzzes off. Although the moon looked really sharp and BRIGHT good detailing.

  8. Out Monday tea time, had a look for mercury, just above houses horizon line, no detail but did look like half moon, Venus very big and out doing Jupiter, and mars is now getting bigger has it climbs high early tea time. Although the moon was nearly full and blanking out the constellations. Orion is swinging well in to west now, shame really soon be loosing it.

  13. hi Isabelle i have not found the rosette nebula yet, ive been told it because i live in the city and it wont show.
  14. HI out last night 25th feb, got the 5 inch dob heritage out, struggling to see the m objects! out with the celestron sky masters 15x70 and.... what a difference, theres something about them lenses in them bins, really crisp and they pull stuff in, i was having to find stuff with bins then guide my scope on to it, there must have been a lot a lot of light pollution because the sirius m objects where not seen. But then again my sky-watcher mak 90mm good for planet viewing and orion neb, and moon is brilliant. but no good for m objects. do i get a bigger scope? hmm theres a thought!!
  15. yep same here 90mm 1250 fl mak x 9mm x 2 barlow still no detail!!
  16. really good scope, with the wow factor! good optics, jupiter really clear and colour too!! scope a bit heavy, and a decent mount would be advisable!! i had to sell it could not afford say eq2 ? will get another with a decent mount next time!!.
  17. unfortunately i had to sell it because the dob stand was not adequate enough for me to get the angle up, i could not afford a decent tripod eg eq2 , my head was on the floor!! really good optics on this scope with colour has well on jupiter belts!! really regret selling it! i will get another on when i have the money for decent tri pod.
  18. hmm........ Rosetta nebula i cant find, 3 nights trying, i even dialed it in on Ra and Dec circles. light pollution and been a city dweller don"t help, not seeing the good stuff. really disappoints me when i set out to find a object and i don"t see nothing, iam getting a bit fed up with looking at same thinks, orion neb, jupiter, Venus. moon, pliedies which i like!! always impresses me.

  20. Had a go at this tonight about 6.30-7pm tea time, been on full power with mak 276x still could not see Uranus ( no **** jokes please!!) i suspect Venus is masking it, very cold out tonight freezing temps, could not stand out for long tonight even though i was rapped up!! moon was very big and bright Wednesday, coming up in east. i have now retired to the warm house!!
