First time in a while I try lucky imaging. This was taken with an ASI224MC on a SW 200PDS. The OTA was boxed because I'm trying to sell it, but couldn't resist a fair seeing and no DSO conditions, so it came out of the box. Thanks in advance for your comments.

I use both imaging and guiding cams in USB 2 ports with no issues. Unless you need a high data transfer rate (video for planetary), it should work.

Why would you need a finder having the capability to plate solve? Moreover, if it hampers the balance…. (I’d just get rid of it).

I thought encoders have nothing to do with PPEC storage. Please correct me if I’m wrong but the EQ6-R Pro has no encoders and stores the PPEC curve. I believe it is able to reproduce the curve regardless if it was previously parked.

Definitely the EQ3 is not going to be enough for your setup. EQ5 or above.

The ASI294MC plus the 0.85 FR/FF would be around £1.210. Not much left for a filter.
