    Hello all

    Hi and welcome to SGL
  2. I think it was in the SSD but I'm not sure. But even doing so, just reading 300+ files from any external device is going to slow down the process a lot.
  3. I've tried to process images in PI from an external HDD USB3 and the proccess was really slow. I've realized that's better to copy them to the iMac SSD and delete them once the processing's finished. Never tried from my NAS since I believe it'll be worse.
  4. Don´t forget flat frames. For <1min subs they´re not very time-consuming but very effective.
  5. Perhaps you could try longer exposures (if your guiding accuracy pemits). IIRC, he best ways to get rid of part of the noise is dithering between light frames (I don´t think it is possible without guiding), taking calibration frames (flats and bias for DSLRs) and increasing the integration time.

    Hi

    Hi and welcome to SGL.
  9. Same here: ASI224MC both for guiding and planetary.
  10. Hi and welcome to SGL MR T
  11. Nice pic. I really love that camera.
  12. If it was in your price range, I’d recommend the 294MM bundle. It’s the evolution of the 1600MM with higher QE and all. I never had issues with the calibration frames or any strange gradients.
  13. I don’t think so. I’ve PCL on different circuits, and using a 10m cable on mount’s end. Very reliable method IMHO. Much better than any wifi extender I’ve tried.

    Hello

    Hi and welcome to SGL
  15. The one from AE just vanished, so I’ve ordered the one from TS. They advised me that I’ll loose 1mm of the 55mm working distance. I expect to sort it out using 0,1 spacers. The field rotator will come when I check the adapter.
  16. The web says so, but in the end both have a M48 thread. And the TS 0.95x CC stopping ring is removable too. If you don't mind sharing via PM. I don't see why not if the threads are compatible. However, I wouldn't like to waste the money (around 50 EUR for both in AE) until I'm a bit more sure.
