  1. A pair of 10x42 Helios bins to complement the 12" dob they will be used for star spotting and bird watching
  2. Yeah this is true, I could pull the EP up slightly. Or the Chinabay seller had 3mm and 5mm rings for a couple of quid, I could pick one of them up 👍
  3. Out of interest, what is the preferred mode to use these EP's in? 1.25 or 2"? Is there any advantages to using the morphs in 2" mode. I tend to use mine in 1.25 via the 2" to 1.25" click lock. However I Have considered taking this out and just just my 2" click lock. With the 20mm spacer ring I Have just ordered I assume I should be able to achieve focus OK in 2" mode. 🤔
  4. Thats a very good idea John, let down by 1 important factor. I'm useless at building things 😂
  5. I must admit, I Did create this topic with them in mind, it's going to get very amusing around here! 🤣
  6. Hi all, As per the title, And I dont mean the handles we all seem to get around middle age 🙂 I am looking to fit two handles to the side of my 300p base. It comes with one at the front but I dont find this sufficient. I would like someting similar to the stock front handle, along with being suitable for the weight of a 300p base. Pics and where purchased from most welcome 🙂 Thank you
  7. Well after a look around I have just managed to get an M48 2" 20mm spacer ordered from Fleebay, Coming from China for £3.67... I look forward to its arrival and trying out the CC & Morpheus combo! Baz
  8. Oh and I Have started to read that guide Don, very informative. I will continue with it once the kids are in bed 😀
  9. The cc sounds great fun, hope I Don't regret this purchase 😂 So the 1st thing I Need is the 19mm spacer. Any suggestions for which rings will suit the Morpheus EP's. Thank you all
  10. Thanks Don, I assume the 19mm spacer doesnt come with the kit. Can I still use it as it is, abiet it wont be parfocal. Baz
  11. The trouble is its a bit disheartining coming back to poor conditions once you have enjoyed a dark sky. I recently came back from a botle 3 - 21.86 sky to my Bortle 6 - 19.25 sky and it was shocking, I would love to move to a rural dark locaion! Can imagine what a bortle 1 sky is like! Baz
  12. Happy days, Super fast delivery! I hope you enjoy the EP. look forward to hearing your opinion of it!
  13. Totally love that scope John, Wish I could get a dew/light shield like that one for my dob.
  14. Massive Thank you to @Louis D @Don Pensack & @Sargares for your help with the CC. I have ordered one from Omegon via the above link. Not a bad price either at £112 Appreciate all your help! Baz
  15. Thank you Louis, This has raised more questions than answers. Its certainly put the purchase on hold until I find out more. Do you have a link to the GSO model you have? I wonder if this would play nice in my 300p with the Morpheus EPS bAZ
  16. Thanks Ian, I look forward to hearing your findings. Regards Baz
  17. Did you order through FLO? I only ask as I was looking this morning and noticed the 12.5mm they had has now sold. I have the same scope and would like to know how this EP performs in it! Baz
  18. Hi all, I am loking to purchase the attached Baader Coma corrector for my 300p to use in conjunction with my Morpheus EPS. I have a few questions if I may.. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/coma-correctors/baader-mpcc-visual-photographic-set.html Is the coma corrector a permanent install on the scope or do you only use it when the need arises? At the momnet I have a 2" 47mm clicklock on my scope with 2" to 1.25" clicklock reducer - This enabled me to do away with the standard 47mm extention provided with the scope. If I instal the CC will I need to do away with this combination or can I still use the clicklocks. In fact I may do away with the 2" to 1.25 and use the Morphesus eps in 2" instead. Is there any benefit to doing this? Will the CC change the focal length of my scope or does it just flatten the field? Anyone have any experiance with this cc? Silly question but does it take away the slight comet shape I occasionally see of axis? Thank you Baz
  19. How about the 12.5 morph combined with the Baader barlow. It's fairly cheap at around £40 so not to bad an investment particularly if its only getting minium use. I have and have only used it a handful of times..
  20. That location in Sacramento looks beautiful. Not a mobile/cell phone antenna in sight! Out in the middle of nowhere, Just a stunning clear sky and fresh air in your lungs! I do admire the diversity and beauty of the US. No wonder only a small percentage of the US population have travelled abroad when you have such amazing locations to visit.
  21. Glad you enjoyed your 1st views through the 17.5mm. I find you're comment about them feeling premium quite interesting. At what price point do EPs become premium? I understand that the TV range are a lot more expensive than the Morpheus, And very likely perform better, I will never know 😂 but is it only when EP's are in the £300 area that they are considered premium? Just interested to know what price points are considered low, medium and premium for EP's.
  22. They are all in stock with FLO at the moment aswell. Sorry to mention that 😂
  23. Your welcome to try any of mine John, Just let me know if you would me to post to you. 👍 Cheers Baz
  24. That made me chuckle. I actually purchased the 17.5mm last, So to me it was like a minature version of the others and quite "cute" 🙂 Reading your other posts reminds me of how I felt when I recieved my 1st Morph, I was totally blown away by the immersion and image they provided. I sold my BST range which were perfectly good EPS in there own right to fund my next Morph. I would say the 9mm is well worth a purchase. It performs just as well as the 17.5 - they are my two favorite in the range. I am yet to try the 12.5mm I hear that is a great EP but I have the 14mm so doubt I will purchase it. I did note that the 12.5mm has slightly better eye relief than the 14mm however that doesnt really justify the purchase! 🙂 Baz
