Thank you so much Geoff. Yes, the 3D effect is something I try always to get. In this shot it is really evident! I'm happy about. I wish the weather will turn on clear sky soon because I would like to add RGB stars.

Not sure how many times I try on it. How many times I fail or didn't get satisfy by the result. This time, thanks to the help and support by Tiziana, here something I'm proud of. 10 hours of Ha, 4 of O3 and 4 of S2. 80ed in between of an eq6-r and a bortle 8 sky. Blood and years in front of the pc to find the right color balance to satisfy myself. But that's is the result. This, can satisfy me.

Moonshed, ashamed of so big review of the image. Yes, I'm under a bortle 8 sky and this is my first time to perform an RGB image. Usually I do narrowband due to heavy light pollution (and sky little foggy +high humidity). This project was great for learning about my setup. I'm proud in saying no one light was trash due to bad tracking or focusing problem. This alone is a big success for me. I'm planning now to get the h alpha and bring up as much as possible detail and structure that emit in this wavelength. If the gods of weather will allow me.... Again thank you. I wish I can post again similar results.

Thank you tomato for the suggestion. I will take a better look on it and see if maybe there is room for some better color calibration.

As usual, team work pay. Data gathering and calibration in one side, final post processing in another, four hands works better than only two. Thank to Mirko Tondinelli for the processing support, here the Queen of the sky, Andromeda galaxy. 15 hours under a bortle 8 sky with an 80ed and ASI 1600mono. Whenever constructive criticism, always welcome.

I should say this target have me some headache. Anyway, with the help and support of my sweet Tiziana, I've reach what I consider a great success. About colours, we can call it Giorgio's palette..... The wide open cluster and the nebulosity framing the elephant trunk are surely in need of improvement but I need also your suggestions. 5+5 hours of hydrogen and oxygen with light of 600". Eq6-r driving an 80ed reduced to 450mm

Factory has to manage a single code for raw material. With same tube, make the focuser and spider holes in different position will also save time in assembly line....

In this way you have free hands to elaborate the nebulosity and more stretch options. Th n you can put back stars with a maybe more light process and keep them small. Btw, great image!

Good one. Try also on nebular subject. There you can have a more impactful effect.

Nice? Oh, thank you! Living in a high pollution area, with really few chances of clear sky, I try to get as much as possible from my poor data. The starless version is done in pixinsight with the starnet+ process. It's a sort of plugin as it's not included in the main software but it's fantastic.

Uuuuh.... This deserve really more halfa and also a lot of O3. It is beautiful now, I can just think how it will be then. Lovely details and shades.

About bias, just try. I was sceptical about since I tried after a friend suggested me (I was still with a Nikon d700 stock. Once saw the result, I never went back, even with the canon baader. dither + bias has same effect as dark. There is some study around with a lot of explanation. I trust on my eyes. If you are in high light polluted area like me, flat will help a lot. Post-production will be more easy.

Dither. Take bias and not dark. Do not use the light pollution filter. Keep histogram at the middle. Galaxies are emitting in the whole light spectrum. Using a light pollution filter you cut also a bunch of signal. Flat will avoid the gradients. ;)

Thanks to some clear night, the luminance has been taken and some details has improved. First important target with the Newton 150/750, canon 450d for rgb and Asi 1600 for the luminance. My heart to Tiziana for the help in the color. Total time 3+3hours. Process in pixinsight.

Here after long time with a subject everyone has catch at least once. The Whirpool galaxy, under heavy polluted sky. Born as a test with my new eq6-r and my gso 150/750, 3 hours of light by my canon 450d modded and a LPS idas p2. I'm quite satisfy about, especially because the color balance was done by tiziana, my eyes on this. Would like to add some luminance as soon as the weather become clear. C&C are always welcome. Clear sky!
