    My ST120 mounted on the AZ5 and stainless steel tripod is just manageable by me and I am (unfortunately) the wrong side of 70 🙁😀

    I had an AZ4 but changed it for a AZ5 with stainless steel tripod for use with my ST 120 and it is very steady, the added advantage of having slo mo controls makes it my favourite set up.

    No you have to loosen the clutches but I have never found it to be a problem.

    I have my ST120 mounted on an AZ5 with a stainless steel tripod and it is up and ready in a couple of minutes, it is very steady and the slo mo controls are very smooth.

    Hi Sarah, Unlike the real world Stellarium is always cloud free 😀but it does give an accurate picture of clear skies at your location once you enter your co-ordinance. Like many others on this forum I find it to be a valuable asset when searching for objects that are viewable from your location.
