    Hello! (again)

Hi and welcome back to SGL.
  2. A picture would be a great help to enable the correct advice.
  3. Hi and welcome back to SGL.
  4. Sorry to hear about your problems and I hope you get things sorted. If it is any consolation I have the same scope and after a couple of false starts which were my own fault it behaves very well and is a joy too use. After trying 3 types of goto scopes I think the Celestron is far more user friendly (IMO) than any of the other scopes I have used.
  5. If the screws are missing from the primary mirror then they must be replaced or you won’t be able to collimator your scope. Unless your mirror is really dirty I would leave it alone as it will not make any noticeable difference. If your scope came with any eyepieces then see how you get on with them before you invest in replacements.
  6. Hi and welcome to SGL. Are you outside when viewing ? If you are viewing through a window this will cause a double image

  9. Hi Paul, welcome to SGL.
  10. Due to travel restrictions, self isolation etc we could not go to Ireland for Christmas so after I got home from hospital on Monday following an operation on my femoral artery I was delighted to find our daughter was coming on Monday. Well yesterday was a Great surprise and to put the icing on the cake I was presented with this belated present.

  12. Hi and welcome to SGL.
  13. From my experience a Mak or refractor seem to be the best type of scopes for binoviewers. Reflectors don’t really work too well IMO.
  14. Hi and welcome to SGL. Cloudy skies seem to be the norm lately, let’s hope things improve.
  15. Hi Mike, welcome to SGL.
  16. I have the RACI finders on 2 of my scopes and they are the easiest things to use IMO, and wouldn’t change them for anything.
  17. Hi and welcome to SGL.
