  1. Stripped it down and flocked it up, rebuilt and out viewing in under 2 hours... very pleased!

  2. This errrr, this evostar 90 is kinda cute... Be interesting to see what it can do...

  3. A week ago I stupidly some how managed to break a slow motion control on my eq5 and I enquired with Steve @ FLO about a replacement, knowing full well these seem to be quite difficult to source in the uk. FLO came back within the hour stating they had enquired with the suppliers and we're awaiting a response.. Yesterday, mainly because I feel my enquiry was trivial I got fed up of waiting for a response via FLO... Let's face, it I'm happy with the FLO response, but they will have some serious enquiries to deal with so I ordered a few items including the eq5 flex controls on Friday afternoon.... Delivered Saturday morning... Again prompt response, I believe they enquired forward and Saturday delivery from a Friday afternoon order... Don't think you can ask for more really (however if that slow mo control knob turns up I'll have it :-)
  4. Nothing quite like getting home to a nicely bubble wrapped package containing a new bit of glass.. Lovely stuff.

  6. Clear dark skys, uncountable amount of stars, mikyway as clear as i've seen it in a long time, and it was warm too... Just such a shame i was stuck in the cinima watching gravity... finally paid my dues for ordering 2 Es82 instead of one.. im sure the weather report was checked before it was booked too.... why i oughta!!!

You knew you were in trouble when you ordered 2. Sounds like OH knows how to get revenge. Hope the additional eyepiece works well, it would be the final irony if it wasn't as good as expected. Get them one at a time, it saves a lot of hassle.

To be honest the 11mm ES82 is a fantastic EP and the 4.7mm wasn't too far behind.. I've had worse punishment in my life than a meal and a film... still felt like i'd been grounded though which im sure shouldn't happen when your 33!

And to be fair.. great film in 3d too.. 4/5 maybe even 4.5...

  7. Haaaayyyy who's being buying all the flocking paper from FLO, I was going to carry out that mod after the lacerta 10:1 upgrade... you know, so i have an excuse to touch my scope despite all this cloud, without attracting unwanted attention from naysayers wanting me to empty dishwashers and the like..

I couldn't find any black wallpaper for my goth daughters bedroom. I only bought 164 rolls somebody else must have bought the last bit

  8. Bit of a school boy error... Told the "bank manager" it was just the one ES82 i'd ordered... she wants to know why there are two boxes, and she's not buying the "ones for the lenses and one for the barrel, as you have to assemble them yourself" line! Oooooops my bad.

So you have tried to sneak in 2 when you said 1, and have now insulted the bank managers intelligence. Best analysis: You're dead. :-)
