  1. Captured last night also, Tak Epsilon 180, recorded in H-alpha also using Atik 383L+, 10 x 1200s
  2. Another short session last night, 2 hours 20 minutes in H-alpha, using Nikon 180mm lens and QHY9 mono CCD. I seen another image on facebook recently and that encouraged my to give it a go to capture the interesting nebulosity around the main NAN and Pelican components. I dont have an Oiii filter for this set up, but I will add one soon, and try to do bicolour version.
  3. Fantastic work Paul, Mars is particularly good.
  4. Thanks Dave, Thats interesting. I have the latest version of SGPro, as I update it any time it asks, but I'm sure I put in radius and not diameter
  5. Here is the full field of view from the Epsilon, also taken last night, following by a crop on the Pickering's Triangle area, and an integration of all the data:
  6. Still getting to grips with the dome so concentrating on that first. The alignment of my imaging scopes/lens isnt right so unfortunately this is badly framed. Also when woke up with scope and dome slit werent aligned, so not sure what is happening there. I think SGPro might have something to do with it, but will look into that. Integration date and exposure: 07 August 11 x 1200s Camera: QHY9 mono Filters: Baader H-alpha filter 7nm Lens: Nikon 180mm lens F2.8 (at F4.0) Mount: Mesu e200 guided with finderguider 290MM Thanks Adam.
  7. What a great image! M31 is a difficult one to process, but yours is really nice, particularly the stars.
  8. I thought it was something to do with the camera 👌🏻, at least you have worked out the exact cause 👍🏼
  9. I wouldn't be sure but an educated guess, because it's at right angles to movement of the shutter (or whatever is causing vibration), so the vibrations are longtitudinal relative to the satellite movement (rather than tranverse as in the top photo)?
  10. I was wondering if it was possible to do mirror lock up. I have a nikon d800e and havent worked it out yet.
  11. Totally fantastic, this really helps put all those individual targets in perspective and there relative vicinity to each other.
  12. It could be a tumbling satellite. I did recently experience this and my stars also looked ok, but it was concluded that it was the wind shaking the scope. The stars appears slightly elongated in line with the oscillations, so perhaps it is shake? The mirror clicking up might cause this?
  13. Stuart there is an ignore member function. Feel free to add me to your list.
  14. But this is a beginners section. This isn’t a beginners image?
  15. That’s a pretty accomplished image, I really like it. (I think you shouldn’t still be posting in the beginners section though, as it’s unfair to beginners who may think this is a beginners standard)
  16. @Laurin Dave and @steppenwolf Thank you both. Looks like the shutter door wasn’t fitted exactly to spec by the previous owner. I can get it repaired later and then work out how to fill up the holes in the skin of the shutter.
  17. It could be a satellite but with some vibration/movement with the telescope during capture, so it’s recorded as oscillating.
  18. Thanks Steve, I had my suspicions that my view was being restricted. Even that small amount will make a big diference. Would you be able to post a photo of how low the chain is attached on the shutter, when in the closed position?
  19. Can anyone confirm that my shutter hasn’t been set up correctly? It stops dead on the zenith but I thought it was meant to go past it? (I have an extra strip of aluminium around the circumference but shutter doesn’t fit over it)
  20. So have you or havent you done a mosaic with that set up? It really doesnt look like 9 or even 12 will do it.
  21. I did a 43 panel mosaic of the moon once using the phillips webcame, the sensor is small.
  22. My advice - pick up a used mark 1 ZWO 120MM instead. I have both and the Philips webcam is never used. The 120 goes for £50 and uses a standard T2 thread. The webcam requires a special adapter 1.25” nosepiece that screws in where the lens comes out. The frame rate of the webcam is also low.q I had a couple of SPC900 and gave the last one away (with no adapters)
