      Ah, sorry, I stand corrected as I'd heard that nothing must change from taking the light to the flat.

      thanks freedy...are you sure freddy? surely the duration of the light sub must be the same as the flat sub right?

      thanks nephilim, so duratioin does have to be the same from the lights to the flats.....and not a single thing must change from the lights right....

      i do have making every photon count but it does not seem to mention duration/exposure time s for flats, or i might just be missing something

      no martin the duration shouldn't match, the only thing that should be the same is focuser position, camera orientation and ISO setting pop the camera into AV mode and snap away it will set the exposure automatically this is why they have to be done the same night if you take the camera off the scope you will never get it back in exactly the same position

      it is dark frames that have to match the lights exposure time
