Good luck Rob for some Super Solar! I was very happy to catch a few little patches this morning, the forecast was dire.

Hope you guys get some decent weather this weekend. Here it's just getting to cold, so I'll probably do roof top gazing. I just don't have the clothes for sub-zero temperatures in the desert.

Her in the UK we think of spain for being hot, but i bet the dessert is a cold place on a winters night

Ay, it's true, folk do think it's hot all year here. I think Spain is the second most mountainous country in Europe, so temps can be very, very low.

I've had one night out in the desert/scrub lands since it arrived :-( I've got a first light report due and hopefully will have it written up tonight or tomorrow.

I doubt it will be cloudy in Spain until September! It's clear here but it is also very foggy.

Nice heads up, Rob, what a fine hedgerow :) I thought the main spot had some nice activity around it too, it looked like there was a little flaring going on when I was out, inbetween the customary weekend clouds :D

I love a good sunrise. Was spectacular on the way to work, with a thick frost on everything and the sky was just beautiful.

Ay, the first week of this month wasn't much to write about but things seem to picking up again. For the first time I truly cracked Mars, not just tweaking detail but actually having them in your face. Nice night on a roof top. My girlfriend just phoned me and said I should start preparing for a dark site session tomorrow. That's a cool thumbs up :-)

Fantastic, Rob. I've never got much useful above c. x200 with Jupiter here, and Mars is still an orange blob of various sizes for me. Hoping tonight will be better though!

Okay, I'm going to rub it in a little more :-) :-) Just been out setting up under deep dark blue skies, in a...wait for it...T--shirt :-) Already seen Venus, Mercury, & Mars set within a gorgeous orange sunset. Will wait until the skies are properly dark before I dip and duck and soar between the stars :-) Snowing you say, SNOWING!! Oh, boy :-)

lol! Qualia! I'm bundling up for an adventure tonight in -39c with the windchil... not sure whether to go hunting or relax and see my favorite sights. Any advice from your lawnchair?lol! :)
