  1. Yes he could set it 90° that may work but another quirk is when I click the 🔎 I can put Alcor in it shows under and I can press on it however Neil's won't sometimes won't type anything in and when it does Alcor does not show up under the 🔎 bar to click on. This makes me think there is something wrong with the software on the tablet but what or why I have no idea strange that all these problems are on his even though Neil has downloaded from the skywatcher site.
  2. I thought that about the upper limit but the mount will go to Polaris but won't go to Kochab or Dubhe very strange. The numbers change as though its slewing but doesn't move wait for it to stop pick Caster goes straight to it very confusing. I said do a video and put it on here.
  3. I went through the app with him last night every setting is the same as mine lower limit 0° upper limit 75°. I have noticed that if you download from google play the app crashes on android 11. I had to go to the skywatcher site download it and tick unknown sources for it to go in and work.
  4. Just tried viewing the item said no longer listed and said here is a picture of a kitten/cat

    Hello

    A warm welcome to SGL
  6. Hi Doug, I did say they are fantastic Scopes even my older Meade gives great views now it's been fettled. Unless I had the money for a 120ed this is a keeper. My friend Neil has a Bresser 127 and thinks it's brilliant all near enough the same scopes. I Hope my mouth is getting better still got throbbing but not as bad 4 days in to the antibiotics so hopefully by the end of the week I'll feel loads better thanks. Paul
  7. What's the focal length on that my 5" is 1180mm long by 127 giving me F9. 3
  8. A 4" achromatic refractor is a brilliant scope I have two brilliant on the moon planets clusters and double and multiple stars. I have been doing this 10 years and had 6" and 8" reflectors I do more observing with a 4" refractor then any of them.
  9. I have two 4" refractors and I cannot see any discernible ca on either of them.
  10. Well done so really great objects and observing there it's great when everything comes together.

  16. A 4" scope is a great bit of kit.
  17. What a great session and read I'm jealous I have never seen the Leo trio from home after 10 years with various scopes.
  18. Sorry to hear you have been ill Dave hope you are on the mend now, I too have had some problems. Lovely clear night here last night unfortunately I still could not get out supposed to be clear tonight and I too was going to spend an hour on Orion but that is looking unlikely now. It is great to read peoples reports when I am stuck in chomping at the bit to get out. Orion has some great objects to look at not least M42 and the Trapezium.
  19. Perhaps someone on here maybe has had the same problem may have the answer and could post it here rather than waiting for a reply from support@ simulationcurriculum. But yes write the problem on the support site as well just in case no one has a reply.
  20. A warm welcome to SGL
