Nice I've owned 2 of the equinox 120s fine scopes

Better build quality on the Lunt although Focusor on both are a bit poor still prefer the Lunt buy a good used Lunt for around same as a PST

The ones fitted are 23mm I've tried out some 19 flat and 9.5 Meade 4000 Japan ones all come into focus nicely

Getting to know the Lunt LS60

It's a tough choice between the single 75 or double 60 I'm lucky I can have both you should be able to get an adapter made up try Brian at astroparts1@btinternet.com he does stuff like that he was going to do me an adapter to mount a coranado 60 to my Lunt until I got the ls75 I would def say the single 75 is better than the 60 and conditions allowing some fantastic detail is seen I've not tried double stacked bino yet so that may be a pleasant surprise -

Hi Mark I to have similar results as you having moved from the 50 double stack I too wasn't blown away by the 60 single and my tuner is tuned in quite near the end of travel but gave some reasonable views but when I put the 75ls stack which acts as a 60 on the Lunt 60 it was stunning and last week in single on my Tak bino it was the best I've seen glad your getting there I was lucky I picked up one of the Lunts with a feather touch for a great price , also took a punt on ls75 filter which proved to be a massive bargain -

Not had to much sun as yet with the Tak but initial views are great really big disk great contrast as for the double stack on the Lunt it's wow great detail on proms and flares it was more a bonus that it fitted the Lunt so big bonus really -

it's under warranty id send it back at what they cost you want a good one but as Knobby said try moving and regressing the o ring your image should not fade that means it loosing pressure hopefully just a regrease and o ring placement -

It is a bit fiddly to get results with Lunt but you can see your tuning is working focusing is key also and the right eyepice can make big difference also you don't normally get surface detail and proms together you will find the sweet spot between both keep practicing also are you using a black cloth or towel over your head when viewing makes all the difference my Lunt 60 is almost screwed in mostly for detail my 50 was the same also -

Thanks paul I've been doing just that the quality of image is stunning I managed to pick up a nice 1.25 used Tak prism which is rather nice . John I know just think I could put a small refractor on the side as finder for less lol Neil the avatar is blue man group they don't do smile ?

Thanks Guys never been so excited before as I was waiting for this to arrive just got sort out a finder I'm not paying Tak prices for a average finder .
