    Been out buying winter observing gear.

      Go on then, tell us what you got. I settled on a down jacket, couple of decent thermal layers, warm socks and nothing special boot (they seem to work however). Keeps me warm, occasionally to damn warm.

      Thermal socks, a thermal fleece thing and padded jacket to go under my body warmer and sheepskin (faux) jacket, and some gripper gloves cos my hands get real cold.
