I'm very happy with the focuser and the build quality, just waiting to use it in anger to check out the optics. The only clear nights I've seen since it arrived have typically been when I'm working a late!

I think I looked at these on the TS site a while ago and wondered about them. It sounds quite versatile for both imaging and visual, it would be interesting to stick a Panoptic in it as I bet it would give quite some FOV. A good alternative to a camera lens with a DLSR I should imagine too. Here's wishing you a swift first light so we can find out how it does? And yes, that ASI1600 looks like quite a camera, ZWO seem to be bringing out winner after winner!

Lovely setup Dave. I saw these new ones in Red on the Altair site and thought they looked really striking! The best I've ever done with any scope is to detect the cores of M51 with averted vision, so to detect spiral structure must have been amazing
