  1. I tend to use my Cheshire with a 2" to 1.25" twist lock adapter for both. I also check half way through a session as the scope moves from side to side (mostly double check when observing planets). The focuser colimation is important, and that's a rainy day check from time to time. Rob
  2. Has anyone been able to adapt / attach a ZWO EAF to a Bresser Hex Focuser?. Can it be done? Rob
  3. No problem Steve, We are always happy to help. I would suggest an ED/APO Barlow. GSO make a good one at a sensible cost. They can be found under different names. If you find something check here, we can always advise. Regards Rob
  4. Great advice here and welcome to the forum. I had the 150P and it will show you many things, a very capable scope. Also found a good quality 2x Barlow is a good edition for this scope. Rob
  5. Visual Astronomy has a special place for me. Over the 30 odd years I have so many events and observations locked away in my memory. I offten recall them, and inspires me to continue. I seem to be advising & assisting others more these days with 'Getting into Astronomy'. Not just online but in person also. I feel the Hobby has a deep routed place for visual & AP. AP is also very popular because it mixes technology with the hobby, for some that alone carries the appeal. Long may both continue, and I firmly feel they both will. Rob
  6. Near 15 years to get to this point!. Super happy mind. Not shown but also have a Meade 5000 SWA 40mm in box…. It’s a beast!
  7. Received today. A mint original collection Meade 5000 UWA 4.7mm included everything from the original USA purchase. super happy to have this in my collection now 😊
  8. Hi all, just wondering if this will work with my EQStar (Asterion) as well as my HEQ5 Pro? Thanks Rob
  9. I have a SVBony 1.25" Dielectric. Not a diagonal at all. I did blacken the red walls inside mind, then can be quite shiny. Either paint or felt. Can also use a sharpie TBH for speed. Rob
  10. How nice is that!.. what a find. Enjoy!. Rob
  11. Meet my Meade ep family… around 13 Years in the making
  12. Latest edition to my Meade ep family!. Nice swift delivery from FLO 😊
  13. Very good review. Thanks for posting Rob
  14. The fpl-53 is (as the others have said) going to provide the no CA image on bright objects. Having said that I own 2 x fpl-51 scopes and really enjoy them for visual. It also depends on your eyepiece quality, which can help provide toward a good/very good experience. I'd suggest for me .. 85% of the time I see no CA on various targets. I also use a contrast booster filter for planets, which is awsome in my 102ED F7. All that being said. As always, see if you can try before you buy?. It may help your choice. Look for local Astro meets etc. Rob
  15. That LP 90mm looks fantastic.. just love the finish on their scopes I have to say. I'll bet it performs fab!. Rob
  16. I’ll need to grab a cable I think. Did find this. https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/854294-astrogadget-eqstareq5-kit-synscan-pro-ios-app-error-cannot-connect-unexpected-response/ hummmm
  17. That is. I have to say the connection has been really good Russ. I have googled a bit and found other suggesting the same?!. So yes this maybe a update issue of sorts. just wondered if there’s another app I could try?
