M101 - Pinwheel Galaxy - Widefield

I wanted to crop this image to just M101, but there are so many images out there with more detail than I can produce so I preferred to keep it wider. This is basically uncropped (except for stacking artefacts) from the full frame sensor of the 5D3 at 500mm. There are quite a few galaxies scattered about in the field, with the dwarf galaxy NGC5477 to the right.

Conditions weren't that good with lots of moisture in the air and a bit breezy. I have been testing out a new mount but stuck with the trusty AstroTrac for this one...feels like ages since I was out there properly.

Best viewed full size which can be done by clicking the image...Thanks for looking.
