Wasp nest in Obs!!

A word of warning

Just went in to my obs to have a look at tonight's moon,to nearly headbutt a fresh wasp's nest!!

It was not in there last night,so it must of been started today.

Luckily it was not that big and only the Queen wasp was present.

A trip back into the house,and out armed with the vac soon sorted it out..

Be careful,especially if you have not been in your obs for a while.

Wasps are on the look out for small gaps and crevices to enter and it seems R.O.R shed gaps are perfect to then start a colony.

I've got one just starting (had one every year so far!) - remedial action about to commence.

We've got a bumble bee nest underneath too, but that's harmless.

Most councils will remove a wasp nest for free btw.

Ha, That's what I thought when I read it. I'm sure we could rally round and help the poor guy out.
