I was quite chuffed with this one given that it was captured quite early. It was a case of capture it while still high in the sky (but not much contrast) or wait for better contrast but lower on the horizon. Having looked and not bothered because of atmospheric turbulence a couple of times already this week, I decided to take a chance and go for the early slot...I'm glad I did

Tony, that's a superb image! incredibly sharp and clean even with a 3x barlow. A great field of view comparison between your ED80 and my 180 MAK image of the same craters at f15 no barlow. I must say yours is better!

Oh I don't know about that Dave! I've got my eye on a Skywatcher 180 as a planetary scope. I reckon that and a ED80 for widefield stuff on a nice EQ6 would sort me out for a while
