I thought I'd post my first shots of Saturn. They were taken on 19th Jan, about 6.45am and taken at 50X with a 5mp compact camera attached to the EP.

I do realise they are not the best shots you'll see but they are my best shots which are now recorded as a starting point for me!!

Nice image with such a basic technique. Just goes to show how clear the rings are at even such low power. Welcome to the slippery slope into the dark side ...

They really are very pleasing images for the scope you used. Nice and sharp. I can even see the space between the rings and the surface.

Have you tried imaging it without an EP?.

Oh no wait....sorry if its a compact cam then you really need the EP in place.

I am going to try a video at 150X and see if I can't get a single frame which gives me a better image.
