Having a play with my new guiding set up, ST80 with QHY5 using PHD and had to have a bash at this through the Meade 127 ED at F7.

I am well pleased with the guiding, PFD is so simple, where has it been all my life:D I thought Guidemaster was simple but this is even simpler. This is 2 hours through 6nm Ha using a variety of subs from 2 minutes right out to 10 to test the guide rig.

Quite pleased really, RGB on this next I reckon

Thanks chaps, I am still impressed about how easy the guiding set up was, I was expecting the usual teething problems but getting 10 minute subs after plonking the guide rig on the scope and then 5 minutes calibration is amasing.

JNP, I know what you mean. I got the Ha filter at the same time as the camera, so Id only have to feel the pain once.

Guiding looks well sorted, like the Ha detail in M1, shows very well here.

Also responds very well to colour, no one colour oversaturates in my experience so its worthwhile spending more time getting the colour.
