Nice scope for visual work, but I think you may be very limited in taking photos through it, as the mount will not track the sky. However, should be easy enough to put the tube on a driven mount if the bug bites.

Yeah thanks dude. I joined the dob user group on here and saw some converted theirs to goto. Not something I'm too bothered about at the moment but nice to see it can be done if I decide to go down that route.

Having only had a 70mm scope before I'm just looking forward to exploring the sky a little more.

First stop Jupiter. Not sure how well I'll be able to see it, but it's something I've never been able to look at before, and if my scope arrives in the next day or two it looks like quite a good chance to have a look
